Whitney Lee
Extended Care Oral Health Therapist
Whitney Lee -Extended Care Oral Health Therapist
Whitney Lee has been dedicated to the dental industry since 2014, when she began her studies with a clear passion for oral health. After completing a Human Biology course at the University of Adelaide, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Oral Health and later achieved her postgraduate Certificate in Oral Health Science. Today, she is dually qualified as a dental hygienist and dental therapist with no age restrictions to her scope, and she proudly serves as an Extended Care Oral Health Therapist at SA Dental.
Whitney’s role is both varied and rewarding. Her daily work includes everything from routine check-ups and preventive care to paediatric extractions, fillings, and stainless steel crowns. Above all, she values the opportunity to educate—patients, parents, and even the next generation of clinicians. She is also a clinical tutor at The University of Adelaide, teaching in the Bachelor of Oral Health and Bachelor of Dental Surgery paediatric programs.
Her career has taken her from metropolitan clinics to small rural towns. In 2020, Whitney relocated to Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula for her first permanent government role. What began as a challenge soon became one of her most rewarding experiences, shaping her passion for reducing rural health inequalities. Today, she continues to provide care in both Wallaroo and Port Augusta as a visiting clinician, while also working in Adelaide.
Outside of work, Whitney enjoys spending time with family and friends, being an aunty, and embracing new adventures. With an early interest in the arts, she sees dentistry as the perfect combination of creativity, science, and connection
